Looking forward to your job everyday is what makes it so special! Hi there, my name is Charlie Bida and I am the ABA Supervisor. I graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Social Psychology and a minor in Health Studies from McMaster University. During my undergraduate studies, I was offered a course in Psychology where I was first introduced into the world of Autism. After graduating university, I had spent my summer working with Autism Ontario and fell in love with the kiddos. Although some days were challenging, I loved working with the children, seeing them smile, and being able to share in their gains – big or small. I continued that year with them as a fall and winter programs staff while continuing my journey in the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis. I received my Autism and Behavioural Science Post Graduate Certificate from Niagara College. While completing my certificate, I started working as an instructor therapist. After a year of working as an instructor therapist in Niagara, I moved to the York region and found the Lighthouse. Two years have flown by and I have loved every minute of it. Each and every child that has entered the Lighthouse has made an impact on how I continue to grow as a leader, friend, and individual. The Lighthouse team is one of the best and I am so thankful that I get to supervise such a great team of dedicated therapists!
