ABA Therapy

At The Lighthouse Learning and Development Centre, we are committed to providing life-changing, evidence-based programs designed to empower neurodiverse individuals in the Markham and York Region area. Every service we offer—from personalized goal-setting and assessments to 1:1 and group intervention, family training, and professional consultations—is built on the foundation of proven methodologies that foster growth, confidence, and independence.

Upon registration in our ABA program, each child undergoes a comprehensive assessment using the most effective tools, including ABLLS, AFLS, PEAK, SEL, and educational evaluations. But we don’t stop there—our individualized learning plans are carefully crafted to reflect not only assessment results but also valuable input from parents, therapists, and any additional supporting documentation. Every child’s journey is unique, and we ensure their program is tailored to their strengths, needs, and future goals.
Our approach to learning is dynamic and engaging, incorporating 1:1 instruction, direct and group learning, functional life skills, and essential classroom readiness skills. By integrating the principles of ABA and Natural Environment Teaching, we create an environment where skills are introduced gradually, allowing children to build confidence and truly master each step before progressing. Whether a student needs additional practice or is ready to advance quickly, our team adapts to their learning pace, ensuring they are supported every step of the way.
At The Lighthouse, success isn’t just about mastering academic or functional skills—it’s about breaking barriers, building friendships, and fostering a love for learning. Our programs encourage teamwork, social engagement, and self-confidence, empowering students to embrace their differences and celebrate their progress. We believe in a future where every individual has the opportunity to thrive, and through our unwavering commitment to evidence-based practices, we are helping make that future a reality.
