Volunteer Director
The Lighthouse Learning and Development Centre Board of Directors is seeking an individual to serve as a Director for a three year term.
About Us
Based in Aurora, Ontario, and serving the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding regions, The Lighthouse Learning and Development Centre is a not-for-profit organization offering educational opportunities to students from kindergarten through Grade 12. We follow the Ontario School Curriculum and utilize recognized Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) principles.
At The Lighthouse, we are dedicated to providing guidance, motivation, and support to neurodivergent individuals, including those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as families navigating the challenges of autism spectrum disorder. Our focus is on building lasting relationships grounded in a deep understanding of these unique individuals. Our goal is to empower individuals, their families, and the wider community.
Job Summary
As a volunteer director, your role will be to provide oversight and governance to our skilled team of professionals as they deliver on our mission today and develop initiatives for the future.
If you are a strong advocate for inclusivity and passionate about fostering collaborative engagement within the communities of neurodivergent individuals, we would love to hear from you. We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in not-for-profit governance, fundraising, and capital campaign management.
