The Lighthouse Learning and Development Centre, founded by Serena Thompson, is a unique educational haven born from a mother’s love for her son on the Autism spectrum. Serena’s journey, marked by diverse educational experiences and challenges, led to the establishment of the only school for children with autism in York Region. The transformative hub is distinguished by its commitment to individualized learning, dynamic adaptation, and continuous assessment.

ABA TherapyThe Lighthouse Learning and Development Centre prioritizes evidence-based practices, offering 1:1 Intervention and the Elementary School Program. Services encompass planning, assessments, team meetings, 1:1 or group intervention, family/caregiver training, and consultation services. Upon enrollment, each child undergoes a thorough assessment, leading to an individualized learning plan tailored to their needs.
